The Hispanic Marketing Symposium (#HMSTexas) Presents: ‘Running the Game’ June 4, 2014
Bringing together Latino marketing experts and thought-leaders from across Texas
Austin, TX – May 30, 2014 – (HISPANICIZE WIRE) – The Austin Advertising Federation is hosting the 2014 Hispanic Marketing Symposium (HMS) on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, from noon to 7:00 p.m. and will bring together experts and thought-leaders in the Hispanic advertising and marketing industries. The event will be held at the Austin American Statesman located at 305 S. Congress Ave., Austin, Texas, 78704.
The half-day event will showcase strategies, case studies and trends and provide insights on how organizations, businesses and corporations can connect with Latinos, one of the fastest growing populations in Texas, currently at 38% and growing. The event and theme “Running the Game” will showcase successes in the Latino marketplace with a focus on entertainment, business, marketing, food, music and culture.

Particularly in the state of Texas, it is crucial for businesses and corporations to connect with Latinos. And for the second year, Mando Rayo + Collective is producing a very dynamic symposium,” says Austin Ad Federation President, Cynthia McGuineas.
The lineup includes industry experts, creatives and thought-leaders that will showcase their vision and present and provide inspiring “TEDTalk” style sessions as well as panel discussions.

New this year at #HMSTexas is the pop-up agency; a “hackathon-style” pop-up agency where a select group of creatives will come together to work with nonprofits providing support with their creative needs to help them reach Latino audiences. Nonprofits will walk away with brand messaging, creative direction, a logo, flyer or an infographic. Guest judges will then select the top three creative pieces that will then be showcased at the close of the event.
Tickets are $75 for Austin Ad Fed members, $100 for non-members and $50 for students.
The agenda includes: registration from noon – 1:00pm, sessions and workshops from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. and an after-party from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
