SuperLatina Wins Two Daytime EMMY® Awards and Makes History
LOS ANGELES, CA – May 4 2016 – (HISPANICIZE WIRE) – Gaby Natale and the TV show SuperLatina, where she serves as host and executive producer, made history at the 43rd annual Daytime Emmy® Awards, by winning the two awards the show was nominated for, making it a first for an independently-produced Spanish language show.
Natale and her nationally syndicated TV show SuperLatina won for Outstanding Daytime Talent in a Spanish Language Program and Outstanding Entertainment Program in Spanish, respectively.
“Like I said in my acceptance speech, this show started almost 10 years ago in Odessa, Texas, where I painted the first TV set we used for the show with my own hands. Fast forward to today and these same hands are now holding two Daytime EMMY®Awards. I’ve always believed that great things can happen when you work hard and embrace your true self”, said Natale.
Now on its second nationally-syndicated season through PBS’s Spanish-language sister station VmeTV, SuperLatina presents in-depth, long format interviews with newsmakers like Deepak Chopra, Carlos Santana and Cristina Saralegui.
“The EMMY® Awards ceremony was surreal but at the same time kind of a logical step forward in our journey. I always say that one of the reasons we’ve been able to thrive as an independent production company is that we have an ‘immigrant mentality’ of always finding a way to make things work. We were the underdogs one more time, and we made it work”, said Andres Suarez, Executive Producer of SuperLatina.
Among the 43rd Daytime EMMY® Awards winners were Kelly Ripa, Dr. Mehmet Oz and the cast of The Talk, among others.

About Gaby Natale And AGANARmedia
From the first time it aired in 2007 in the small town of Odessa, Texas, Gaby Natale and SuperLatina have mastered the art of defying the odds. During the 2008 economic crisis, SuperLatina shifted its business model and expanded aggressively.
Then, as media companies consolidated, SuperLatina spurned offers from bigger players to focus on its core demographic and became a full-fledged content developing company that now serves Fortune 500 companies such as AT&T, Amazon and eBay Inc. And as networks became more reliant on imported content, SuperLatina doubled-down on US production and was picked up for national syndication by PBS’s Spanish-language sister network VmeTV.
As host of the SuperLatina talk show, Natale has won two Daytime EMMY awards. She also received seven nominations and won one Lone Star EMMY Award before being picked up for national syndication. She is one of the few women in the entertainment business to not only own the rights to her TV show but also the TV studio where the show is taped.
The trailblazer Natale is now venturing into the realm of mobile applications with the imminent launch of Celebrastic, a crowdfunding and planning app for special occasions, from Quinceaneras to weddings to birthday parties and everything in between.
