Artbeat2014—the third installment of the Arts on the River celebration—will take place March 13 through 30 in the Columbus/Phoenix City area in Georgia. As part of the festival experience, Latino Colors will proudly showcase Hispanic music and the fine arts on March 15 and 16 with gallery exhibits, musical performances, as well as interactive children’s activities in a family-friendly environment that embraces Latino culture and heritage.

Latino Colors is a weekend cultural celebration featuring:

— No Countries, Just Artists: Gallery exhibit showcasing work by modern Latin artists who have shaped the artistic movement in the U.S. and recalibrated key themes in American culture, including Georgia residents Federico Torres Bodón and Felix Berroa, members of the Hispanic-American Visual Artists Project; Brazilian artists Hugo Fortes and Sissi Fonseca; student exhibitors Cynthia Cepeda and Yadira Padilla.

— Latin Dance Extravaganza: Show-stopping journey through Latin America through dance, presented by Columbus Salseros featuring numbers that include salsa, merengue, cha-cha and bachata. Additional performances including Latin dance instructor Pedro Rodriguez and Zulaica Yazmin-Konz Gonzalez.

— Just Drop In: Fun and educational art activities for children, with a Latin twist.

— Latin fitness class: Sweat away stress to the Latin rhythm of salsa, merengue, bachata and cumbia with a cardio workout like no other. Class taught by certified Zumba and fitness instructor Stephanie Gettridge.
