WASHINGTON, DC – September 20, 2016 – (HISPANICIZE WIRE) – The Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) will hold forums across the country as part of its Red White Y Tú tour. The Red White Y Tú tour will kick off in Los Angeles, California on Thursday, September 22 at California State University, Los Angeles followed by San Antonio, Texas on Monday, September 26 at the University of Texas at San Antonio, and wrap up in Miami, Florida on Thursday, September 29 at Miami Dade College – Wolfson Campus. The CHLI Red White Y Tú forums will bring together congressional speakers, distinguished civic and community leaders, experts in electoral research and student leaders to discuss the importance of being educated about the political process and the importance of Hispanic/Latino voter participation.
The panel will be comprised of non-partisan electoral research expert, millennial leaders and a community leader, followed by a question and answer period. Ultimately, CHLI’s Red White Y Tú will reach across the country to educate, engage and empower Hispanic/Latino millennial voters.
